Furnaces
Sometimes we take the little things in life for granted... like having heat on a cold winter day.
An old or broken furnace can result in an uncomfortable situation for your household.
Let us help you with Maintenance, Repairs, or Replacement.
To Repair or to Replace?
That is a question often asked by homeowners young and old.
How should you determine the best option that considers budget, comfort, and reliability?

Here's what your Results mean:
If you got Green, you are in luck and should replace that component, unless your furnace is over 15 years old.
Most likely your furnace is fairly new or the component is not very expensive. You can still get a lot of life out of your furnace with a repair.
Check to see if you have a Parts Warranty available, as this repair may be covered.
If you got Yellow, it may be advised to consider replacement options due to reduced efficiency from age, or a more costly repair.
Sometimes we think that a repair might fix your furnace for good, but oftentimes another component is ready to fail, and it's a matter of years or months until you are left in the same position you are in now.

If you got Red, unfortunately, it might be bad news.
Your furnace is most likely fairly old and is showing other signs of wear and tear, whether it be corrosion, odd noises, or reduced performance.
You can still proceed with the repair, but if for example, your furnace is 18 years old and needs a new blower motor costing roughly $1,400, then it is more than likely another component, such as the inducer motor or gas valve is getting ready to let go. This may end up costing another $800 to $1,400 within the following few months to years.
At this point, a new furnace may cost less and will provide better performance and efficiency, not to mention a 10+ year parts warranty.
